WHAT IS THE RECOVERY FROM EYELID SURGERY?

Dr. Jacob Carlson
Dr. Jacob Carlson, a board-eligible plastic and reconstructive surgeon, completed a three-year fellowship at the University of Florida. He served as the chief resident during his final year of training. While at the University of Florida, he trained extensively in both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, including microvascular surgery, operations to address hand and facial injuries, and craniofacial anomalies. He is currently completing a one-year Aesthetic Surgery fellowship at North Texas Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Jeremy Bosworth
Dr. Jeremy Bosworth is the Aesthetic Surgery Fellow at North Texas Plastic Surgery for 2022 – 2023. He is a fully trained, board eligible Plastic Surgeon who feels that his patients deserve for their surgeon to have the very best training and expertise. Eyelid reshaping is a relatively minor procedure, typically performed on an outpatient basis, allowing you to return home the same day. Most patients experience minimal discomfort, requiring only eye drops to keep their eyes comfortable.
While you may experience some bruising and swelling, these effects are mild and temporary. You’ll likely be back to your daily activities in just a few days and can expect a short period away from work to allow for any initial healing.
